Flyboarding Fears Debunked!

Potential customers express many fears when walking by our flyboarding location. It’s understandable… it is something new and unknown for many people still. For those that have seen it, maybe they’ve only seen the tricks and flips, thinking it is only for shows or for professionals. But that’s simply not true! You can do it too… yes, YOU! Its mind over matter and putting yourself out there for adventures and experiences.

Here are some fears we hear and the truth of the matter!

I am afraid of heights.

As a beginner, you really only go 5-12 feet above the water. Once you start to do more advanced moves you will begin to go higher and higher. You will not go the extension of the hose until you become more experienced. You can always talk with your instructor about your fears and when you feel comfortable to challenge them and move higher!

I am too heavy.

Nope! You can still do it! The horsepower of these jet skis are stronger than your average jet ski and power you out of the water.  Your weight might affect how high you ultimately go but nonetheless, your experience will be awesome!

I am too old.

There is no age limit to adventure! We have flown customers in their late 70s, early 80s! It is all about the age of your spirit… not the age of your body.

This is only for professionals.

No way! Very few people are “professionals” at flyboarding. It will take most customers 5-10 minutes to get the hang of the board before they can start enjoying themselves. Some people are more apt to try tricks and flips… its more about a mindset, not your abilities. Most people we fly are beginners and have never tried this before; so book your appointment and let us help you learn!

I’ll hurt myself.

Of course, the higher you fly the harder the potential to fall. However, we can teach you how to fall the “right way.” If you dive into the water when you feel yourself falling, it actually turns into something successful verses a big flop. We provide a life jacket and helmet for safety but the chances of hurting yourself are slim in the beginning as you are only a few feet off the water.

I don’t have enough balance for that.

Our trained instructors will help you with all the tips on how to successfully fly. Yes, if you know how to hoverboard, surfboard, wakeboard, etc then you will understand naturally how to flyboard. If you do not, you will still enjoy your experience as you learn something new! Come back again and continue to improve, grow and build your skill set.

Don’t let fear of the unknown stop you from experiencing something new and awesome! Book an appointment today and come fly with us!
